Google Docs Pioneers...

All 8th graders in Ms. Blanchard's, Ms. Dalmau's, and Mr. D'Amico's classes will be using Google Docs to write, share, edit, re-write, and submit their I-Searches this year!

This is a very exciting development as there will be no more lost papers or lost data, collaboration between students and teachers will occur like never before, and documents will be accessible from virtually anywhere on the planet. Gone are the days of Word viruses and deleted desktop files!

To try Google Docs yourself, go to http://documents.google.com.

Library Tips...

Hello JLMS Students, there's a new feature on the JLMS Library Media Center's website that you need to know about.

If you visit the site at www.jlmslibrary.com and enter the catalog, there is now a button toward the bottom of the left-hand column that makes the site menu appear in Spanish. So whether Spanish is your native language, you're a student in the Spanish Immersion Program, or you just like to roll your Rs, click it and enjoy!

And as always, email me at mr.m.melton@gmail.com if you have any questions or comments.

Assignment: Ms. Blanchard's Class

Hello team, today we're going to finish working on our book reviews and continue to work on our iGoogle pages.

If you can see this, then you've already logged in to your iGoogle page.

Click on the "more" link at the top of your iGoogle page, then on "documents". Find your book review document, read the comments I made, and edit accordingly.

When you're done, remember to save, but don't worry about sharing--I'm already a collaborator.

Raise your hand or email me if you need help or want to show me something interesting!
